Unhappy 173.08 / 169.12 bug with wine / cedega and diablo 2

Using Ubuntu 8.04 32bit and the default drivers 169.12 when you start or try to play Diablo 2 in wine version 9.61 or Cedega engine 6.05 the screen looks like it is zoomed in. If you play it windowed it looks normal. I tried it with the 173.08 with the same results. When using envyng to install version 96.43.05 per nvidia x server settings manager. The game looks normal in full screen.

My hardware is a 7800gs.
amd x64 dual 3800+
2 gig of ram.

If you need more information let me know.

also here is a forum posting of what people are seeing.

forget that. a computer is a deterministic machine, and you're not under windows.
