I am running 8800 GTS on X86 Solaris 10 U5 connected a 1080P TV. Everything is running fine except two issues:
1. Overscanning. The viewable area is bigger than the TV. I have looked at other postings and NVIDIA mentioned a patch might be implemented in future releases. I suspect it is not included in this version and would like to confirm. TVOverScan is disabled and is by default 0.0. A work around would be greatly appreciated. 2. I connect the video card to the TV via a Svideo-Component cable and is working ok. When connect to the TV via a DVI-HDMI cable, I get a black screen when X starts up. Am I missing something or there is a compatibility issue? Attached is the screen section of my xorg.conf. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance. Section "Screen" Identifier "Screen0" Device "Device0" Monitor "Monitor0" DefaultDepth 24 Option "ConnectedMonitor" "TV" Option "TVStandard" "HD1080i" Option "UseDisplayDevice" "TV" Option "TVOutFormat" "COMPONENT" SubSection "Display" Depth 24 EndSubSection EndSection |
