Default Trying to get away from MS...

The subject pretty much says it. With one exception... I want to stick with XP Pro because I've had excellent luck with both XP and 2000. I have no interest in Linux.

I have a few programs I would like to cease using due to security concerns. Mainly, I would like to eliminate as much MS stuff from my machine as possible.

I am already using Opera instead of IE. So I have got IE out of the picture, which is ofcourse a big security plus.

I am using a different media player whenever possible. I just recently switch to MPC which so far seems like a great little program. No frills like MS Media Player 7-9, just does what I need it to do. It's just a simple executable, no setup necessary.Interested? Check out this link:
http://www.gabest.org/mpc.php?PHPSES...24266e42444c43

I have managed to switch over to OpenOffice with one exception. I am still using Outlook. Is there a way to take my PST (personal folders) and import them into a different program? Can someone recommend a good replacement for Outlook that would import my PST file?

Thanks

I've used Eudora in the past and liked it. Does it import PST files? If it does, I might be convinced to switch over to it.

Just downloaded Eudora. When I attempt to import my PST file, which is not encrypted or password protected, I get the attached error message.

Not sure why. It might have to do with the fact that I'm using the latest version of Outlook (2002) and their conversion program might not work with it. I'll play with it a bit and see if I can make it work. If not, I'm probably stuck with Outlook for a while.

Thanks
