Hell, so why not just state everyone's weight in ounces? Why not state the size of your hdd in bits? Or ask for a CPU with a frequency of 2.6x10^9 Hertz when you go to the PC store? Roughly how many yards is it from your house to the local supermarket?

Yea, seriously, I don't know who invented the BMI 'standard', but it makes no sense being it does not build into consideration. I'm 6'2", 208lbs, 13% bodyfat, bench 315, run marathons, yet not only am I considered 'overweight' but I'm borderline 'obese' according to the bmi chart. We need to do away with this already, it's ridiculous.

I happen to agree. 6'2", 11% bodyfat, and because i happen to have alot of arm/shoulder muscle, i'm deemed obese @ 90kg.

Remember its you who butchered our language.

Be humble, be quiet or find a new language.

Almost the exact same, little more bodyfat, little less muscle.

Fact is that BMI has been turned in to this marketing tool for losing weight. BMI isn't sophisticated but it was never supposed to be. It was supposed to be a quick screen for family doctors (GPs) to gauge obesity. Your GP can tell if you're obese (according to the chart) because you have a lot of muscle mass or because you're pregnant or some other good reason, where as the Wii can't! Exactly why is it that they havent mentioned that BMI is a very poor indicator of obesity for teenagers who can develop different aspects of their body at different rates?

Truthfully, these things should be left to the people they were intended for and that is doctors and not to the general 'Wii' public and 'weight watchers' crowd.

You people need to learn how to use your own system properly.

And what the hell is with metric? I can't understand that. Powers of 10 where the hell did that come from?

I could care less which system is used. I just wish we would use one or the other so we will no longer have to buy two of every tool.

You go to work on something and it's half metric, half standard.
