Default 14,400 with 9800GX2

Does 14,400 seem normal for an E8400 3.0GHz, 9800 GX2 Stock, 4gig DDR2 8500, Asus Rampage X48? I just built it and ran 3Dmark 06. Seemed a little low, but everything as at stock speed. Does it seem around the right score?

Thanks

Seems about right, 3Dmark06 scores are already heavily dependent on the CPU, and the GX2 is bottlenecked by pretty much anything. Overclocking your C2D to 3.6GHz would give a nice improvement, probably more along the lines of what you were expecting. Quad cores also score alot higher then dual cores, even at lower clocks.

Thanks for the quick response. I'll overclock the CPU a little. My issue is that I just built my rig from scratch last night and the Zalman cooler I got was too big for the Asus Rampage X48 Mobo I got...I had to use the stock cooler. So my CPU temps are pretty high until I foind another cooler.

That's about what I get with no overclocking on the FSB. You could get well over 19k with your rig if you did OC. I get about 18.3k at 450FSB.
