Great news, I'm trying it tonight!!!

EDIT: Damn, didn't have much time but I was around half an hour at Bree Auction Hall, entering and exiting, and it was fine. Man I missed the detailed shadows, the game landscapes are a true beauty to look at, with 8xAA and 1920x1200 and those DX10 options is amazing again

I know! From the beginning I knew I had to leave DX10 and PPE on no matter what, even if I lost AA. Now the AA is working I am SOOOO pleased! The performance of the game at 1920x1200 on my 4870x2 is awesome!!! So glad ATI finally go the drivers up to par, now hopefully the Moria update won't break anything!!

Performance is great, I play with triple buffer and vsync and it's a solid 60fps 90% of the time, with falls to 45 on very crowded places. I will see how Rift (and maybe Helegrod) performs this week.

The bad news is that we probably won't be able to upgrade Catalyst drivers until december or even january, betatesters at rage3d forums says that hotfixes usually take one or two months to be integrated into official drivers. So my guess is that it will be broken with official Catalyst 8.11 (and maybe 8.12).

Can someone link me to these new 4870 drivers that work....this problem has been killing me...and all along I thought it was a Creative X-Fi problem. Thanks a bunch in advance!

Yeah, I read the same thing about the Catalyst drivers. I don't plan on trying another set until Dec or Jan.

I'm only at level 31 at the moment so need to buy Moria for me yet. Hopefully by the time I hit 50 it will be on sale!

BTW, I have DX10 enabled with 8xAA and Catalyst 8.11. I am playing without xFire, I have read somewhere that little program can cause problems with certain games. Turbine has made changes to the DX10 driver (distant imposters are available again), and there are posts at the official forums from ATI users that are not having problems with DX10 and official 8.11.

Don't think I will play more today, it's my gf's birthday and I can think better ways to spend this day than playing the game while she's looking at me angry
