Thumbs down I've never seen a company make it so hard to buy their product.

In the world of most modern MMOGs the vendor makes it very clear where and how to download their client, create an account, install, pay and play.

After hunting around on the FUNCOM website I finally figured out how to buy AoC online. The buy page is hazy at best on what it is you are buying.

Parts say, "click here and you will be provided a download link after conformation of purchase...." Then you get to the next page and all-of-a-sudden you are being charged shipping and that your order has been processed. No download link.

I then get the email conformation and think, "okay well maybe there will be a link in there.", nope. Not only is there no link, the email says it should contain a pre-registration key so that I can download the game finally. It doesn't.

What the frak?

Yeah FC is already on my **** list and I don't even have the game installed yet.

First with the pre-order fiasco not letting people in the early access as the pre-order box says. Now I find out I cant even read the forums... I get "Sorry, registration has been disabled by the administrator." Not only can I not play the game I cannot even read about the game.

Yet I am still a sucker because I am buying the game and I will play it.

Really? I was not able to log into the forums yesterday, but today I was. You have to create your forum name/password in the funcom account site.

Well, its already been stated that they probably won't have the server capacity to accomodate how many orders are being placed. They may even stop restocking the game for a time being, because of this. Funcom is currently looking at over 1 million subs in the firstw eek. they were equiped to handle 600k or so.

They should release it on Steam.

Are you guys serious? Can you guys cry a bit more. You see this is why I detest gamers. They are always crying and always unhappy.

If you cannot find a place to buy this game from be it a bricks and mortar store or a E store then the problem is not Funcom. I is your problem.

The last thing. the VERY last thing you should be crying about are the forums. There isn't any reason you would want to visit a gaming forum let alone MMO forum.

Looks like you guys got fracked....

I think it is probably a glitch in the purchase process.

If i am reading it correct...he purchased it online so he could download the client...as that is what the information told him on the site...how is it not the websites fault? How can you blame him...

That's right. He bought the damn game only to be denied any way to actually get the game. This is why I detest gamer haters. They blame the user and start crying over everything. It's the last thing, the VERY last thing you should post on this forum.

Because you NEVER do that unless it is a proven system, like Steam. The rest suck. Either you have a limited install or limited downloads. It is like the drive through window at McDonalds. They WILL screw you!
