Well I finally sat down and started this game. I dont have a 360 so I pretty much had no idea what I was getting into. So far I'm still only about 3 hours in and about to start the raid on feasts bar.

So far I am really liking it. Alot more chatting and story telling then I thought there would be, and while the world seems devoid of swaying plant life, It looks great in highres and runs great too. I'm getting no frame rate issues what so ever. I was abit dissapointed the long elevator rides are still long. Ive noticed you can atleast run to objectives using the transporter which is much quicker loading wise, but you do miss picking up new quest.

Only complaint is self shadowing + close ups look like ass. Anyone know a fix for this?

There is no shadowing fix. It was present at points in the 360 version, and it's here in the PC. I've played it a little bit on PC. Looks good, but my sound is screwed up. I get TOO much surround. I'm gonna reinstall, try different drivers and try again.

I have to say, the game is far less impressive on PC. It really looses it's cinematic feel. ::

The funny thing is a crack that is out online has that fixed but not the legal version. (which is annoying as hell)

Done. End boss really put a bad finishing taste for this game; gawd I hate bosses. Spawned a truck and beat it in 30 sec.

Overall, lack of action in this game was disturbing. When there was action it's very setup and cookie cutter served out nice and slow for some strange reason.

Never once did I feel badass. Any carnage disappeared if you turned away, no blood, no gibs, all weapons felt weak with poor feedback....let me just say the action and fighting was very disappointing and each battle extremely short lived.

Only thing that kept me playing to the end was the engrossing narrative story which was fairly clever and very well done.

ME2 should increase the action IMO but I doubt it will.

There will be 3. 2 and 3 will be released on PC and 360 together.

I'm about 8 hours in the game, just finished Noveria and it seems like a decent game but has some flaws imo. Combat feels bland, no melee and teamates are morons that like to shoot you in the back to get to the enemies. The elevators are ridiculous... my computer is much more powerful than a console why do I have to wait through an unneccessary elevator loading sequence when I'm done loading after 5 or 10 seconds?? Oh yeah that's right it was developed for console first that's why.

This is definetly one of Bioware's weaker titles, I'd say I had twice the enjoyment with KOTOR. I'll finish the game, but I'm not expecting anything special with ME 2 or 3 with the fact they are being developed with the console in mind first.
