I shot him last game, only because I forgot to invest in charm. ::

Spoiler:
Charm plays a huge role in the boss fights against Saren. In fact you can skip 2 out of 3 of the boss battles with him using words, and it's actually very satisfying.

Well almost through the game as a paragon now. I take back my previous statement and playing as a jerk was more fun

First time: Assault, all out weapons, badass
Second time: Biotic w/ pistols, good guy

And i think the next time i'll play a pure biotic or tech badguy

I just started the game for a second time... this time as a badass. Punching people... cussing... killing.... ahhhhh... this is going to be more fun than as the good guy!!! I love how I am getting all different reactions now from characters when playing as the bad guy. I am also putting all my LU points toward dialogs as this appears to make things more interesting. I have pretty much mastered the combat in the game so I don't need the extra help really :P

If you're going to be a badass, don't even bother with the good dialog stuff. Just max out the "intimidate" section. Then watch the heads roll!

Insulting people into guilt is even more fun than killing them IMO.

Just finished it, played a vanguard, mostly liara + ashley combo. End of the game was a bit screwey as Liara got stuck inside a wall, and didn't snap back when I went in an elevator.

Minor spoilers********

Consequently the conversations went odd because there was obviously 1 person's stuff missing although the other characters heard it. Then at the end some guy was picking up an invisible person. haha and yeah I saw some footstep dirt marks when they both jumped down to see if saren was dead, but only saw ashley. And I only had ashley to help kill him. The first time I fought him on that water planet was hard as hell, but the second strafe + shoot ftw mofo. Also I killed the council, do they show up and say "thank you, I'm glad we picked you?" or can you not pass it?

The last planet was pretty nicely detailed imho, and I think the ending was pretty good, did everything it needed to do. I think a final gathering with your crew/squad members would have been better though.

I didn't do more than a few side quests, I did more at the start but the demand for the main story quests made me feel like I had to do them fast and I finished in over 15 hours. Anyway good stuff best game of the year so far
