I installed the patch (which was included in the DLC) from EA since I bought the download version from them.

What's up with the comments about the Garros face? I've played this game umpteen times and never could figure out what people were talking about with the comments about his face. His face has always looked fine to me. Even that screenshot posted above looked fine to me. So what is he supposedly suppose to look like?

Yeah, it is messed up.

Still, it is not as obvious as people say it is.

P.S. the Pinnacle Station DLC is supposed to updated tomorrow with Steam version support.

In configuration app I was able to select 16:10 and proper resolution, game menu now thinks that it is running at 1680x1050 (16:9)
how do u do this? i have the steam version

I never knew there was a problem with the textures for Garrus. I simply thought it was a lazy texture artists fault. I see a huge difference thanks to the screenshots posted.

Anyone actually play the DLC yet? I bought it last night, but I am going through a new playthrough and haven't hit any of the main planets yet since I am going to do the side quests first. In the other DLC it was better to wait because the items you get will be higher level if you do it right before Virmire so I am going to wait until then to do this new DLC.

Dunno, maybe my tolerance is different. I saw issues with the rendering of other characters in Mass Effect. Like the throat of the main character (I always go female) looking funny sometimes with the shadows and other anomolies of other characters. The Garros thing just didn't cause me any more notice than other characters. Everytime I would hear the "Garros Face" comments, I would just shrug my shoulders, never seeing why his face was singled out. Just didn't look that bad to me compared to the other characters. I guess different eyes just see or notice different things. Like the screen bob in Wolfenstein for example. Some said it was so bad they got a headache and some say they didn't even see it. I guess it's the "eye of the beholder" deal.

On another issue, I played the game with the patch briefly, closed it, went back in a couple of hours later and got a general protection fault error after menu loading. I had these same kind of problems way back with different drivers and many posts are in the Mass Effect forum about ongoing issues like this in the past. I rebooted and went into the game with no errors and played awhile. Don't know what to think at this point now. Will have to wait and see if I get anymore of these errors.

Of all of my games (and I have lots), this is the only one where I would cross my fingers when I played hoping I didn't get any crash errors. Then there was the issue (haven't checked to see if it's still there with this patch) where playing this game caused Mirrors Edge physx to stop working and then having to reinstall it (physx).
