Default Graphics Corruption on 780 (possible 7-series) mobo's?

Just wondering if anyone "here" has experienced the issue on 750/780/790 boards as to where the screen will just "garble" up and the computer needs to be rebooted.

I don't believe its a driver issue (or is it?) as it happens suddenly and I havent been able to replicate it except just using my computer and it will just happen.

Also, temps don't seem to be affecting it and everything currently is well withing specs.

Does it happen when you play DIVIX movies if so yes and you are not alone as there are lot of people effected nVidia are aware and will have an upgrade in the next month not sure if it is a maco for the BIOS of a driver update however.

It can/does happen with playing DivX movies, and very very rarely it'll happen in during games (like when it cuts to a cutscene).

Where are you getting the info that Nvidia will have an upgrade next month, and by upgrade are you saying there will be a BIOS update or Driver update?

Yeah, I get the same with full screen video. It'll play all day in windowed mode, but not full screen. Inc, PowerDVD, VLC, SMPlayer and web videos like YouTube (again, only full screened). Sometimes it'll crash after a few seconds, sometimes I can watch several films with no probs

ATM my machine is at totally stock clocks, running on one graphics card (also stock clocked) and has had a fresh install. Next job is to try it with just one RAM stick in, see if that helps.

I suspected the mobo for a while. I've had this problem a month or too now. What res. are you guys running?

Because about 35% of people are effcted including myself. nVidia have duplicated the issue and are in process of getting to motherboard manufatures. The issue with with video over lay.

I used to have the issue with my Geforce 8800GTX but it's NEVER happened with my X800XL card. Seems to effect nVidia cards only.

Running 1680x1050 and 1920x1200 happens on both resolutions, and only with my GX2 doesn't happen with a 88GTX or a 3870x2.

I've been getting this while capturing HDV from my camcorder using Vegas Movie Studio Platinum just this weekend. It just strikes randomly after a certain time and can only be cured by a reboot.

Welcome to the graphics 7series corruption club. Many of us have been dealing with this for months, trying to get nvidia to admit the problem. Hopefully this gets resolved this week.

I think this might just be my last Nvidia based board though.
