Pffft... Mortal Kombat died with the release of MK3, so it's death started with a 2D game. 3D graphics are just graphics, SF4 is still played from a 2D perspective. It's just like Sonic, if they had updated to 3D graphics but kept the old side-scrolling 2D perspective the series wouldn't have gotten so crappy, and that's exactly why they're going back to the series' roots with Sonic Unleashed.

MK3 was a disaster, but the updated UMK3 (and MK Trilogy) were very well received by fans. MK4 is where things started to go to ****.

I think the game looks amazing... looks like a 2D game in 3D, which is exactly what they were aiming for.

Huge exaggeration ><.

Anyway, the pics that we have here on the thread..they look a bit off...maybe its different when playing..but the actual characters/background don't seem to blend in smooth..

Maybe early release shots...and they have improved the overall feel. I just hope its more similar to SF3, dosen't look like there is parry this time though..at least on any of the game play i didn't see it.

Btw i am really enjoying SF3 on the PC atm ><...

Untill they decide not to release a title on the PC or they do a bad port for a title... then all the hat will come flooding in...

No surprise that its coming to the PC after all the arcade machine its being made for is basically a PC.

Base specs for it are:

* OS: Microsoft Windows XP Embedded SP2 [2]
* CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400/Pentium 4 651/Celeron D 352 (up to latest Core 2 CPUs supported by the chipset)
* Chipset: Intel Q965 + ICH8
* Monitor: 720p/1080p/1440p HD LCD Monitor
* RAM: DDR2 667/800MHz (512MB/1GB, up to 4GB)
* GPU: PCI Express x16-based graphics. Support cards include ATI RADEON X1600Pro/X1300LE or nVIDIA GeForce 7900GS/7600GS/7300GS, up to latest graphic cards (Radeon HD 3800 or Geforce 9800 series)
* Sound: Onboard Realtek HD 7.1 channel Sound (supports add-in sound cards)
* LAN: 10/100/1000 BASE-T
* I/O ports: 1x JVS, 4x USB 2.0 (up to 8), 1x serial (max 2), 1x parallel port, 2x PS/2, 2x SATA
* Audio inputs: AKG C535EB Stage Microphone, line-in (Surround 7.1)
* Audio outputs: 7.1, SPDI/FX
* Expansion Slots: 1x PCI Express x16 (used by video card), 1x PCI Express x4, 2x PCI
* Storage: 2x 80 GB 10k RPM SATA Hard Drives
* Media: 80 GB 10000 rpm Hard Drive

The actual hardware specs in use on the machine are unknown but you can see its basically a PC in a bigger box. Win XP Embedded is essentially Windows XP Pro but for running only the designated application, used in many things like ATM's, Arcade Machines, High Street Net phones etc.
