Unhappy Quadro 980 XGL on RH9

I am having problems with the newest drivers and the old errata that just got replaced. This brings me up to 4363. X11 seems to be starting, then the system reboots. I get the following error messages:

(WW)Warning, couldn't open module NVIDIA

(EE) Failed to load module "NVIDIA" (module does not exist, 0)

i have tried to use the --extract and then make-install trick to no avail. Please help!

Can you try "nvidia" in lowercase?

If that fails, please post your logs.
