Actually the game has received a pretty negative reception on the sim community. Over on my Forza 2 league forums (we run weekly monday night races), a fair number of people bought GRID on 360 only to give up on it about a week or two weeks after since it's really not that good online. No pit stops, arcadey physics, those two are huge drawbacks. I agree the game looks very good, but I cannot stand the physics at all. It's very far from realistic. I enjoy PGR4 more because PGR doesn't try to pretend it's realistic, whereas GRID does.

Why are you comparing to XBOX titles?

This is the first time in a long time PC Gamers got an Arcade Racer with a little physics in it that was not complete crap.

Everything else is highly competative online stuff with flat single player aspects like Race07 or GTR2.

Grid has been a smash hit on both platforms so it aint that bad.

Ya. Grid is not one of those racers I see myself driving a year from now though. It's just a nice break from LFS and GTR2 and Race07 games.

Whoa back the bus up....Test Drive Unlimited was a snooze fest.I'll give ya GT as a given winner out of your choices......but PGR???

PGR4 looks better over normal GRID, but once you mod GRID. GRID is a clear winner

Just a quick question. How's the handling with the keyboard ? That is, is it nearly impossible to play just like Dirt and/or RBR, or is it more like NFS:MW and the likes ?

A keyboard should be alright, providing you have the aids turned on. You could still use the keyboard, but it will be a bit harder sometimes... and sometimes almost impossible!

You realize GRID is the same game on Xbox360 right? That's what I played it on. I was not impressed by the physics at all. I'll give you graphics, yea it's got great graphics and effects, but that's about it. I enjoy Forza 2 (especially league racing) much more. I understand where you're coming from, there hasn't been many non-sim games on PC for quite a while (other than NFS).
