I guess I missed one. EDIT: I still dont see a setting for damage anywhere.

I was actually trying to find graphic (to make sure its all ultra high ) and also try to get my (digital) gamepad to work. I figured out that I COULD map the gamepad keys, but just not for the menus (supergay. Got a wheel? Got a 360 pad? you wont be putting away the keyboard for this game ^^).

The reason why I stress the need for analog peddels is the game registers "flooring it" as a unique action. As soon as you begin to slide, especial if you are off road, you have to release the gas completely or you will just make the slide even worse, pretty much coming to a complete stop. On gravel you can pretty much expect to lose the game.. because you never gain traction so "flooring it" + turn = pwned, even from a comeplete stop. How ever with an analog button (or even putting acceleration on another stick) you can use some acceleration without breaking traction again.

Who uses digital only joypads in this day of age ?

Especially seeing as the xbox 360 controller literally just plugs in and plays.

Well..i dont own a 360 (surprise!), and pretty much the only thing I use a joypad for is racing games.. and emulated arcade games. The latter obviously works fine with my gamepad. But this is why I'm not really down playing the game, I think its wonderful that a driving game take its controls seriouse enough to warrant buying a high quality one. I was just letting people know old analog ones dont cut it anymore.

Btw found the no damage option.. but its a cheat and requires a code that I don't have. Dont see anything one gamefaqs either.. ideas? I'm not paying no money to get it from the company itself.

GRID is somewhere between PGR4 and Forza. It is not realistic by any means. The touring cars in the game handle like an open-wheeler for god's sake. That's NOT realistic. And not having pit stops in a game where damage is present is also NOT realistic.

i've preordered it, hoping to play DTM and V8 with this new graphic engine, but I read that these championships were not included in Grid.
Oh well...
