Don't feel bad for me dude, I'm just fine. If you like this game, like the gamepad, I feel equally bad for you.

See what you did? I guess now we both feel bad.

Default Devil May Cry 4 (Full Version) Feedback Thread

Release Date: July 8, 2008

Pre-Order ($36.99): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16832233005

Demo: http://www.gamershell.com/download_27216.shtml

Just starting a thread for the full release. Already pre-ordered mine, and supplied a link for anyone else interested in doing the same. At the very least, send money Capcom's way to help convince them that more of their games need to be on the PC

As said pages ago, anyone who doesn't want to use the right control method for the right game is being... let's just say, ignorant?

Devil May Cry was designed for a pad. You can't play it with an inferior method and then complain the game's controls suck. That's like me saying Call of Duty 4 is a piece of crap game because I played it on the 360 with the stick sensitivity all the way down and it was too hard.

Huh? So if one doesn't like a game and the control interface, and doesn't want to switch to an interface he doesn't like, to play a game he doesn't like, that is ignorant?

The game is also ignorant in not having the controls for a PC game. After all it's supposed to be a PC game. If a game is going to be made (or ported) to a PC, then is should be made to play on a PC, not having to import a console game controller to play it. I wouldn't complain about an Xbox game not being able to be played with keyboard and mouse.

I've also complained about every other PC game that doesn't have proper mouse/keyboard support (as I'm a PC gamer). I guess all those complaints were ignorant too. Jeez, you could have come up with a better argument than that without having to throw in the "ignorant" comments.

You will certainly enjoy this game. Been playing in on my 360 and i enjoyed it so much i went out and bought Deveil May Cry 3: SE (I have fixed all the gamepad issues...freaking awesome game currently on mission 15). Its a shame that there are those who deny themselves such an awesome experience all for the want of using a mouse+keyboard. You can't play this game without a gamepad, but hey, its their journey and their loss i suppose.

The game is a gamepad game, you could never play this game with keyboard + mouse without significantly changing the gameplay itself. There's no more to it than that.

PCs also support gamepads, gamepad is also a PC game control method.

I agree with gamepad followers here, I use the 360 controller with the PC version of DMC4 and it's the most confortable and intuitive control method for that kind of games, far better than mouse & keyboard for me

Here's my take.

When you play a game on a specific platform, you accept the shortcomings of that platform's version. Due to having no PC at the time, I had to play Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament on my Dreamcast. I got used to the gamepad, but thankfully, both games supported the DC keyboard and mouse. However, I got used to using a more Dreamcast specific control scheme, left side of gamepad (analog stick for movement, d-pad for weapon cycling) and the mouse for aiming/firing. That was an awesome combo

Still, many people prefer gamepads over a kb/m combo for FPS games. I'm comfortable with either setup. It's your choice. And I respect anyone here who wants to play DMC4 with a kb/m. However, the game is very twitchy, and a gamepad tends to work better. Deal with it.

And to those who think that the kb/m is the ONLY acceptable means of control for a PC, you're dead wrong. The PC is the most versatile platform for a reason. Gamepads, joysticks, wheels, USB powered dildos, we have it all. I personally have 3 different gamepads for my system - Old school sidewinder for Sega emulators (6-button layout), Cordless Logitech for SNES/PS1 emus and DirectInput games, and Xbox360 gamepad for XInput games.

I'm a PC Gamer too, but I am glad DMC is even coming to the PC at all! The demo rocks with the 360 controller, as the does the full version of RE4. It's nearly impossible for me to play either of them with the KB and mouse.
