Just got this game and installed. I'm finding I'm getting weird framerate stutters in DX10 mode (DX9 mode I haven't played with so far). The game is smooth both with no action, and with a lot of action. But randomly the game will stutter, again both with action or without action.

I have 60FPS max on and v-sync on. I also have DXTweaker running for tripple buffering. Just wondering if anyone has had issues with DXTweaker or with the v-sync settings? That's where I think the issue is, either that or my system just doesn't like the DX10 mode.

So if DX9 works, is there any difference between the two modes, I've heard it's only crisper shadows and slightly sharper textures...

tbh, i really havent noticed much between DX10 and DX9.0c.

mine is completely smooth at 1920x1200. (No AA/AF)

i like the PC version better than the 360 version. PC version looks immaculate, runs great, and i use my PC 360 controller and it's exactly the same. kudos to capcom.

I tried DX9 and it's much much faster. I'm running with 8AA and it's so smooth. My guess is I'm using a driver that doesn't agree with DX10 mode. I'm just gonna use DX9 mode, it's looks the same.

I was getting mad at the game in that lab/great hall place with all the back tracking and doors, but i worked it out and I'm loving it again. I really hope Capcom continue and port Dead Rising and the upcoming Bionic Commando. They've proven that multi platform can work.

Bionic Commando is confirmed on PC, and there were rumours of Dead Rising coming to PC too, and also about a multiplatform release of Dead Rising 2. But nothing confirmed.

I'd like a RE5 on PC, scary games are too scary on console, they are less scary on PC. ::

Well RE5 might end up on PC, but the question that we all would love to be answered is...will it be released on the same time as the console version..and not a year later....fingers cross capcom is still gonna keep it nice like they did with dmc4..and release it alot quicker.

You know? I have learnt to live with the delays, if games are good. It does not bother me, while I waited for Gears of War, Devil May Cry 4, Mass Effect or Assassin's Creed PC versions, I enjoyed other games. For me it's great to have the games cheaper and more polished (and with extra levels, goodies or game modes), even if I wait a few months

Expect stronger DRM from Capcom on their future titles... DMC4 is selling very poor on the PC in comparison to the console versions. Which they are blaming piracy...

I'm not sure about how Capcom in general feels but It's not doing as well as I would like in the US at retail. It's such a good version and it really deserves better sales. I know it's getting pirated to hell and back (it was up on torrents literally the day it shipped).
Love it, PC Gamers get a superior version of the game and they still screw over the developers.

All I'm going to say is;

Well, that was a pain in the ass. The following stores did NOT have the game, or have a release date in their systems as of today:

Newegg
Best Buy
Circuit City
AAFES
Wal-Mart
Target

I did go to 3 different Gamestops, and of the 3, only one received any copies - 1 copy to be exact. I bought it. Man, you'd think Capcom didn't want you to buy this game. Give it a few weeks, and we'll have a press release from them about how SF4 for PC is canceled, due to weak sales of DMC4 caused by piracy...
I called it. This game STILL isn't in stores. Not Wal-Mart, Target, or my BX (I went shopping today). That tells me it's either selling well (sold out), or Capcom thinks we can buy the game through osmosis.

NEWSFLASH CAPCOM! If you refuse to sell the game, it won't sell!
