I got it from play.com on launch day, but now it's out of stock. The game has a great price btw (€25.49).

If they had launched the game with online authentication (like they did with Lost Planet that required Steam even on boxed edition) they could have sold much more. Digital distribution is not the future, but the present. It can stop zero day piracy, and that's a lot.

I wish Valve released the sales numbers for Orange Box, they only said 'PC sales were much stronger than consoles'. Orange Box is an example on how a game should be released

There's a distinct lack of TnA in this thread!

Must pickup this game at some stage. If anyone local even had it... Pshaw!

See theres the problem Nvidia is all the way up with 17x.xx. drivers, AMD is all the way down with 8.X. Looks like you'll have to wait another 10-20 years before you can play the game.

LOL, I doubt the game not doing well is because of piracy. IMO it's because most people who like this game (like myself) already bought the console version 6 months ago. If I had known that the port would be so good, I would have waited and bought it on the PC rather than the PS3. I'll probably still buy it on the PC but when it hits $10 or less only. Till then I won't be buying it on PC.

Yup. Enough of this timed exclusive nonsense and releasing one format upto a year late. Get all platforms out together and they'll find much much better acceptance on all formats.

Also hurry up with PC version of The Darkness!!!!!

Could you post a screenshot of the problem?. I have finished the game with no problems at all, but I don't remember if it was with the 8.6 hotfix. Will try later anyway. Did you try it in DX9 or DX10?
