I was wondering the same thing. At 1680x1050, maxed settings + 4xAA, I get roughly 35fps in DX10, and 55fps in DX9, for the benchmarks. DX9 score would be higher, but I keep VSYNC on even on the benchmark.

Oh, and is this happening to any other Vista users? When I exit the benchmark, Windows Media Center starts up.

I don't feel a need to rebuy this on PC, but I can tell you guys it's a real fun game. Doesn't last forever, and the story is over-the-top, but it's fun stuff.

I thought it was, but I didn't see any kind of motion blur with DX10.

Anyone that attempts to play this game on a keyboard and mouse deserves a swift slap across the chops.

I have the PS3 version of this too... seems like the PC definitely has the best version! Don't get to say that too often, heheh.

Only problem I have with it is that it doesn't seem to support my PS2 controller. I have to use my 360 controller.

I REALLY dislike the 360 controller for games like this, which is why I chose to buy the PS3 version.

Nice performance for sure, but the environments are relatively small so it's not too surprising. I actually got stuck like 5 minutes into the demo; after you first see the street area from the balcony, you then go into a chuch looking area and I couldn't figure out how to get to the street itself lol.

Hmm, what am I supposed to do then? I can't get out of that church looking area but I can see all those monsters in the streets...

Haha! I restarted my comp and re-ran the benchmark, and partway through the 4th test all the monsters disappeared lol.

Default Re: Devil May Cry PC Demo Feedback Thread

is it the area where you grab the blue glowing orb? use your arm while standing on the glowing circle on the ground to pull yourself up to the 2nd level and make your way to the other side of the room. Go through the door, then you'll be on a balcony and you'll have to go back inside from the next door. From there you'll jump up some stairs and fight some monsters... then go through another door, go to another balcony and use your arm to pull yourself to another section... follow the hallway, go past the pillar where your arm glows by heading right... use your arm at the next balcony... fight some more monsters... stand on the pad, use your arm again... fight some more monsters... go through doors... jump down... fight, fight fight... another door... go straight and turn left, use arm on pad... head straight and go through door... activate thing on wall by hitting it till it glows and orbs disappear... jump up, go through door, use panel to lower elevator... make your way back to pad, use arm... go to where bridge lowered... fight, go through door...collect orbs, use arm to pull yourself up to upper level... beat up statue and get a b ranking for a blue orb... buy stuff at golden orb(if you're a wuss) and then go through last set of doors and fight the boss.

at least thats what I remember from playing the game a while back on PS3

Perfect, that was exactly what I needed to do! I didn't know to use my arm while in front of the orb. Fun game, especially after I learned how to launch people into the air to juggle em.
