Default DMA Problems after SuSE kernel update

since the last SuSE kernel update (SuSE 8.2) I can't get any nvidia driver working again.
Up to now I had the
installed, without problems.
After todays kernel update I had to reinstall it and tried

The driver found no precompiled binary and was unable to compile a driver/GLX module. My system is a developer system with all nesseary stuff (compiler, libs, etc).

The older pack worked out and i was able to configure the X system with sax2, but startx stopped with an error.

In hte moment I run with the XFree nv driver, but GLX support is good for gaming and so on.

Does anyone has hints to this problem ?

sorry, i'm just curious, i run 8.2 and i haveto change the 'nv' to 'nvidia' in the xf86config file to get the drivers up and running.

this does not work for you then? which updates did you get and how recently that broke the drivers?
