Technically, you don't need x86 to run Windows or anything. If Nvidia comes up with new standard and makes Microsoft to support it through Windows....that would be nice.
Heck we might see new breed of personal computers as an outcome of this issue... Or maybe Nvidia should make Video cards so they don't work with intel Chipset

I don't know, but it may be intel causing all the issues on the intel sli boards anyways. I have a 590sli amd board that has been rock solid for almost two years now.

Actually SLI and Nforce is the best you can get.

I agree ,I know I for one will not be using SLI again unless it's done on an Intel chipset.After burning through a few sets of high priced ram with the 680i chipset I just cannot trust them.It sure would be nice if Nvidia would loosen up on it's hold on SLI.
