Unhappy Fedora 9 problem with bitmap fonts

The bug was described in bugzilla as an issue with Chinese fonts here:

This bug affects the rendering of all bitmapped fonts, not just Chinese ones.

I'm attaching a screenshot from gnome-terminal. The font should be MiscFixed; this happens about 1/3 of the time a bitmap font is displayed with the following config: Fedora 9, nvidia driver 173.14.05 & Xorg (1.5.0 rc 1) on a 2.6.25 kernel w/gnome 2.22.1 and a geforce 6600le...

This is a known issue that will be fixed in the next driver release.
