Thumbs up Cam-Trax

Interesting way to interface with the PC and play games. Wonder what the CPU overhead is to do the real time motion tracking.

This sort of stuff is the next 'Wii'. Optimally in the future, the camera tech will be 'smart' enough to tell more than 2D movement, so we'll finally have our first real swordfighting game.

Sony showed this off on the PS3 during their tech demo's. They controlled a rubber duck with a coffee cup.

Wow that didn't look much until he started filling real cups with virtual water... that's pretty damned cool.

The Eyetoy was a very under-used control method for the ps2

http://www.camspace.com/blog/2008/06...ta-1-released/

Last Sunday night, CamSpace was released to a small, select group of Beta testers.

We are working hard at perfecting the platform for a larger release (a few thousands) in the next two weeks.

Stay tuned for more updates.

The CamSpace Team
