Yea...I find them annoying though, it's nice to know exactly what the enemy is thinking, but the realism suffers.

It will not be a Metal Gear game if it doesn't have "!" or "?" over enemies heads.

Exactly, glad this game doesn't try to compete with real life in all aspects.

You do? I don't see any in the enemies I've encountered so far.

I've never played an Metal Gear game and I was gunna pick this up until I just found out there's '?' and '!' floating over peoples heads. Seriously, that would really annoy the crap outta me. Yeah, I know I'm trivial.

Kinda dumb reason to me. The game so far is great. Great feel. Sounds great with my audio and is allot of fun to watch and play.

You dont even see the ? ! like you used to. It dosnt bother me the slightest bit.

Anyways If you have a PS3 and dont own this game your missing out. If you dont own a PS3 and are thinking about it get it with this game.

Yes because a game containing clones and giant robots would suffer in realism with a symbol over an npcs head. I mean its perfectly normal for the main character to be able to hear the enemies radio transmissions perfectly clear....

MGS series has never been about realism, its a science fiction story...

Destroy, The filter is barely noticable, heck many scenes in the game completly lack it later on (just completed the Rat Patrol section). The graphics to me look better then any console game on the market, better then Uncharted in my opinion. No jaggies for people to complain about and no performance issues. Heck the textures on the characters are so dam sharp that even PC Elitiest couldn't complain about the models.

As for floating items... I kinda miss it. I sometimes miss objects because they blend in so well, the solid eye helps point them out but its battery drains quick when your looking for claymores. Floating items was a staple of the series up until this game... kinda miss it really.

I have put 4 hours into the game and can safely say that I am very happy with how the game turned out. It's difficult at times but so dam fun. I love how they improved on the combat making fighting enemies far better, No one can complain about it now. I thought the sneaking would be meh thanks to the octocamo but its actually even harder now since there aren't obvious places to hide anymore.

Ok, yup, saw the ? and ! finally. Much more tamely done than the last MGS I played so its tolerable.

Overall I like this game lots more than earlier versions, like I said, much more adult or realistic feeling. Thank gawd.

I think its far more unrealistic then previous titles... as for "adult" I don't see anything different from the previous ones that would make it more adult. Heck they even have poo jokes in the game...

About AA in the game, I find it interesting that they claim that its removed during the cutscenes but from what I can tell they seem to have a higher level of AA during the cutscenes. You can clearly see the difference with cutscenes having higher level of AA easily (Rat Patrol meeting looks incredible).

I haven't played MGS4 but so far i've seen some gameplay videos & i can safely say there is no comparsion. Uncharted looks way better graphically IMO.

Maybe I should have used the word "immersive" instead. I've gotten used to it now though, so no big deal. Also enjoying the MP, of course I haven't played any other MP on PS3.
