(is that your blog? my name is tony too)
No that's not my blog lol. That guy is waaay better at this stuff than me. What sound card you using? I suggest trying Multibeast. Rebuild permissions and try the AppleHDA rollback.

An alternative is VoodooHDA. That works with most sound cards. I use it on my laptop.

no I fixed the sound, I just don't get any pictures when I open any files in any program. such as iphoto or lightroom.

I had that problem before as well when I ran Kalyway. It may be a product of those "hackintosh install discs". I don't know what it's caused by. Ever since I started using a retail copy with Multibeast I have not had the issue, though.

Do you have graphics acceleration enabled? What video card are you running? That 6970?

Check your PM's.

EDIT: My snow leopard install in vmware does the same thing. The preview with space bar works, but the photo viewer just shows up blank. Lion install in vmware works fine in preview and photo viewer.

Not too sure how much of a fan of Lion I am. Honestly, I prefer Expose and Spaces over Command Center.

I think I just miss how the old Expose made all the windows viewable. That's an incredibly nice feature when you have 10 windows open. The grouping in Mission Control isn't too bad.

But the "per screen" representation is a bit annoying. The old Spaces interface displayed all open windows, including their location, of all screens. And it was possible to move a window from any screen to another screen. That was really useful and that's gone now.
For example if I'm in Windows on my third screen but in OS X on the other screens and I need an OS X window that is on the third screen, I now have to change the screen input to switch to OS X. The old Spaces interface allowed me to move that window to another screen while staying in Windows on the third screen.
Yea the more I use Lion the more I like Snow Leopard...

I guess I relied too much on Expose/Spaces features lol. I guess I will have to get used to Mission Control. It's not a deal breaker with Lion, just something to get used to.

Do you think it's worth it to get a Magic Trackpad slawter? Do you use the gestures much?

But I'm not a fan of trackpads, no matter how multi-touchy they are

So after a few weeks of using the Magic Trackpad, I went back to my Logitech mouse. It's just faster, more precise and more comfortable. The trackpad is still there to use it once in a while but it's not really productive.
Want to sell it to me to tryout? lol

Wrong way? Sorry.

This literally took less than 30 minutes, and no problems with the installation.

Truth be told, when I just played around for a bit, it was extremely fast. But when I tried to take that photo, it was taking forever! When I have it full screen it works perfectly, but when I have it that small size, its really ****ty.

At least I'll be able to run FL Studio.
