Looks like PhysX is going to have a larger impact in the near future-

"We also spoke with Brian Burke (Senior PR Manager) and Roy Taylor (Vice President of Developer Relations) on the phone and they had a ton of things to say about PhysX and were obviously all for it. They were happy to announce that 14 to 16 new PhysX game titles would be available before Christmas and double that next summer."

For the price of a 280 you could almost get two 260's . They're awesome in SLI!

I play 1920x and was looking @ this-

http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/148...sea/index.html

That's a GTX 260 @ 640|2300 keeping pace with an overclocked GTX 280.

I can still refund mine and may very well do so to get a 260 to OC.

Been using SLI for 18 months now and had very few issues. The early Vista days were a bit poo because of the drivers, but I currently have no issues at all with SLI. As for the mobo, it's faultless. I admit the 680i chipset was pretty pap (I got it swapped for this one for free) but the only issue I've had with the 780i is the video corruption issue, which is now sorted.

SLI is the only way to play Crysis on VH at the res I use . Also with these new cards there has been no micro-stutter at all .

EDIT:

As far as 790i goes the first BIOS I used blew. The latest from XFX and Evga rock. I have zero stability problems and my Q6600 is doing fine. If something odd or terrible happens, I'll certainly sound off about it.

Just experienced, that atis demo "Whiteout" runs fine on my geforce gtx 280 ( http://ati.amd.com/developer/demos/rhd2000.html ). The lack of shading processors seems to be the only reason, why it did not run on my geforce 9800 gtx ...
