My 8800 GTX does wonders @ 1920x1200 currently, so until I hit some sort of extreme limit (or get a job
), I'll be sticking with it. Hopefully, it won't burn out anytime soon.... cause I has no monies. ![]()

GTX 285 SSC Goodness!

My 8800GTX kills in all my games right now at 1920x1200 even with AA on in most games. Also, looking at Crysis benchmarks it really does not seem like such a big step (as the 8800 was from the 7's or 6's). If it drops close to $500 I might think about it... or if some game comes out that my 8800GTX can't handle anymore

It looks tempting but my 8800GTX SLI is very comparible (if not faster) than one of these so I think I'm going to hold off for right now. Hopefully the prices will settle a little and then I might think about a pair of them.

makes me so happy to hear all these people aren't going to give NVIDIA this ridiculous amount of money. i mean seriously look how cheap the 8800 gt's are now.. they can be had for a little over 100. don't buy into the hype people !!! ![]() |

I'd like to get a gtx280 ,but I also want a 24 inch monitor. So I think I will get the monitor and wait for the prices to come down in 6 months or just wait for a refresh.
@meth I don't think you should get a gx2, get a 260 or wait it out. |

What are the odds a HD 4870 will be able to beat the GTX 280? I want the fastest single GPU. Price doesn't really matter.
