do you guys think overheating can hapen due to less power from the PSU too ?

I've had this happen before and I was able to correct it by re-installing drivers. Give it a shot.

I tryed old and new Drivers it didnt helped it just explodet like a Rocket from 40 idle up to 105+ till the system shut down and i dont think this is because the cpu well i send the card back for exchange =((( how sad this is

Mine has the same exact problem. It shoots up to 100C+, I shut down the test before it goes over that. I'm using the wires that came with the card btw, my PSU has no 8-pin connections... How are you connecting yours?

Mine has the exact same problem. My motherboard is also a P5W DH. When I play Crysis after about 5 minutes the screen just goes black. My power supply is only an Enermax Liberty 500W, so I might try getting a new powersupply, but yours is 650W so it makes me wonder if that is the problem. My entire system doesn't shutdown, just the video card/display signal shuts off and I can hear a sound loop for a few seconds then the sounds go back to normal but the display doesn't return till a reboot.

Same issue with my 280.

I'm pretty sure it's due to high temps.

Double check your Cpu and system case temps. make sure they're not
above normal.

I have to re-apply thermal paste on my Cpu because it's idle temp is too high..

But try setting the fan speed manually on your 280, and I bet you won't get that error anymore..

I just connected a better PSU, much better actually. Same problem, so its not the PSU for you guys either I'm guessing. Must be either the card not making proper contact (mine does, took it out and re-seated the heatsink after applying AS5), or we have a faulty sensor...

Interesting.. did you manually set the fan speed with EVGA Precision ??

Set it at about 70% and fire up a game and see if it still happens..

I should mention my card only 'blacked' out my system when I played Crysis..

Mass Effect, Lego Indiana Jones, and Rainbow Six Vegas 2 all run beautifully..!!

I don't have the precision tool as my card is a BFG one... It's not out on eVGA's site yet, v 1.2.0...
