Now that nVidia has lauched these GTX200 cards, I would suspect they will launch some lower budget versions, and in the next month or so ati will offer some competition, but beyond that do things look pretty quite from nvidia over the next 6-12 months?? Looks like this may be one of the best times to bite the bullet without feeling the sting 3 months later...

9600GT, 9800GT and 9800GTX are the mid-range cards which the ATI 4850 and 4870 are in competition with. I can't see any more mid-high end cards from nVIDIA any time soon (of course after the GTX260 that is).

I think the next high-end/enthusiast solution will be a dual card. the GTX280 IMO will be the dominating single GPU for a while. (unless there is a GTX280+ in the works
)
