Default Decent SLI Motherboard...

Ok, with the possibility of me receiving 2 GTX280s (long story), I decided to consider SLI. My options are pretty limited, I want something cheap and solid. I'm not interested in monster overclocks or high FSB speeds, just stability and a decent price. I will be installing Vista64 w/4gb of memory (some issues there, and some issues with hard disc data corruption, any info on that?) Thus, I'm considering this board:

XFX nForce 680i LT SLI

It's old and doesn't support Quad Core Yorkfields, but I don't care. I recently got a G0 Q6600 which is currently clocked at 3.0Ghz and I intend to stay with this CPU for quite a while. My other options were an Asus P5N-D (750i, too little space between slots, P5N-T which has horrible stability in general and the Striker II Formula which costs an arm and a leg). I also plan to occupy 2 out of the 4 ram slots only with 2x2GB sticks...

So, will this board do a decent job?

Thanks,
Tony.

Has issues for many people, I would stay away from it. The newly release 750 sli is supposed to be ok, but I can't speak from experience.

Well, there's always the P5N-D, but with 2 GTX280s so close to each other, they're bound to have heat issues... How do people with Tri-SLI cool their cards anyway? I mean the 2 cards that are blocked from the other ones must be starving for air...

The LT weren't meant for OC'ed quads. I'm not sure if they still have that little chart or not, but your not supposed to OC a quad on the LT.

I think you just need to bite the bullet and get a 780i board. If your going to be using $1200+ worth of GPU's, it seems really silly to pair it with a POS mobo. I have 2 XFX 780i boards and my friend has one as well. No issues with any of the 3 boards.
