Nope, trried stock OC setting at 621mhz, same thing, then tried stock reference speed/shader speed/memory speed same thing, then underclock the thing and still same thing. Artificats and tearing during gameplay and Furmark after 2 mins with major memory dots artifacts. I was so excited when I got this card...now I question if my money was well spend or not....EVGA has yet to repsonse back, I'll give them 24hrs though, send out the email this morning.

I ran the Furmark benchmark, and my temp. did not get over 69 degrees. It gets higher during Crysis though, up to about 75 degrees. I've never seen a temp. up to 105 degrees!

Just got a repsonse from EVGA now asking me if my ambient temp is over 30c...wtf? My ambient temp is pretty low, my OC Q9450 is loading at 44c so I think I am ok....I've asked about a RMA, we'll see what they come back with...

Just downloaded and ran FurMark using the extreme setting (start-Xtreme-Burning.bat) on the EVGA GeForce GTX 280 GTW Edition. GPU temp of 86C is being reported.

Wow - that image is scary. I would freak out if I saw my card temps that high. Does it artifact?

I'm almost considering not running furmark. If it's fine in everything else, why bother? High temps like that for a few minutes could cause other problems. Just to be clear, people that are getting 100*C+ in furmark, did this happen in games too? Did furmark create the problem?

Any shader intensive game causes over heating here. Futuremark, Crysis...
