i just wish for it to be a lot more story intense.
Also really didn't like the conversation that I saw so far, there was no choices, just two characters talking.

I even installed D2 + LOD yesterday but the 800x600 blocky graphics really bother me.

they really should update Diablo 2 to allow higher Res. Why is that so hard.

D2 looks sprite based, so nothing can really be scaled up without some expensive redrawing by artists. I think the best we could ever see to improvements to D2 is maybe a widescreen fix, since they could just leave everything alone and just make it so the extra width shows a bit more of the playing field. Still, it might be more trouble or expensive for them than it's worth so I don't think they'll do it.

It would require a large code change so i dout it would happen. Im sure the team doing the patches is really small... and probably don't have the knowledge of the engine to go back and rewrite it.

If you remember the hud, it goes a across the entire bottom of the screen so it would have to be redesigned. Also any of the dialog you bring up take up have the screen so they would need new art too. If you ever tried switching between 640x480 and 800x600 you will see that 800x600 has considerably more art, so increasing the resolution even more would require some redesigning of the gui. In addition to this the characters will start to get smaller and an increased range of sight has implications in both pvp and just drawing monsters and items in general.
