Default Mobo Advice Buying Today

comp show today, what mobo would you guys go with in a blackbird case,
Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6850 Kentsfield 3.0GHz 2 x 4MB L2 Cache LGA 775
2X EVGA 8800 Ultras, cpu and ultras are water cooled, have tons of very good ddr2 ram so not buying ddr3, 1100 watt PSU, 2x special edition raptors i run in raid zero, and no asus BS for me anymore.
I dont want to mod the new mobo with chipset water cooling, just want a mobo that has a decent bios, no damn heat issues and all this asus non-sense.

has to be SLi and a 790 is fine if it can use ddr2, if not 780.

AFAIK there no 790i boards that support DDR2, I'm also waiting for one... The eVGA 780i boards are pretty popular and the Striker II Formula, which you don't want...

I would seriously reconsider buying anything with an nvidia chipset. Trust me sli isnt worth all the other hassles that go along with an nforce chipset. Blues screens, data corruption, crappy burning results, freezes..you name it. This all happened on an EVGA 780i. I went back to my bad axe2 and 8800gtx.

NB heat problem, sb heat too which gets sucked right into one of my 8800 ultra fan and makes that hot.

bios issues, mostly voltage not saving and fed up with no support, been buying asus mobos a long time, should have known by now.

yeah some peeps get a good board and it all gels together.

In short, Asus quality control, get your manual and go to page
1-7 and read the last two features, the last one is the killer.

"CPU, POWER, VGA, NORTHBRIDGE AND SOUTHBRIDGE ARE THE AREAS THAT ASUS DEVOTED SPECIAL EFFORTS TO ADDRESS THERMAL ISSUES.

IT WAS TAILOR MADE TO DISSIPATE HEAT IN THE MOST EFFICIENT MANNER!!!!!!!

Now go to page 1-5, top of page says 1.3.2 ROG blah blah.
OK, there?

1st feature, Pin-Fin Thermal Module, please read it and then post here what the last paragraph says.
