Default Intel Xeon X3350 vs. Q9450 Yorkfield?

Could someone please explain to the ignorant, the difference between these closely priced CPU's, which one would be best for gaming:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2bXeon%2bX3350
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115042

I can't seem to find any benchmarks of these two against each other at Anatech or Tom's, any benchmarking info/urls would be appreciated:

Also, I'm considering waiting until Q4 for Nehalem,

http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets...spx?i=3326&p=6

will this time frame likely slip or will they be released these before december you think? I would suspect the pricing would be similar to the q9450?

Thoughts...

Thanks for amy advice...

In theory, it's the same chip, so, there is no difference in performance terms.

Usually Xeons are better overclockers, but, this is like the lottery.

Maybe somo mobos won't work with the Xeons. I was afraid in the beginning, but after some googling, i found that people was using the X3350 in my mobo without problems. So, check this before buying the cpu + mobo.

About nehalem, yes, it's really close, so, unless you have the need to upgrade right now, perhaps you should wait.

They are exactly the same CPU(with a different ID), so you won't see a difference.

Remember to get a boxed version if you overclock! OEM cpus usually have a higher VID.
