With 128 MB of graphics memory, if max. res is limited only by memory, what would be the maximum resolution I could use with any screen?
I'm looking into upgrading my laptop's LCD panel, and want to know if the video BIOS has a limited maximum resolution. My panel is currently 1280x800. |

As far as a desktop image, 1900x1200@32-bit color uses roughly 9MB, so you're not going to max out a GPU from this century on just wallpaper. For modern gaming, well, memory isn't the limiting factor
![]() Though to be fair, the 6150 isn't HORRIBLE. It ran Doom 3 in a playable manner, so games older than that should run playable. |

So I should be good to upgrade the LCD, given that I can find one with the same connector?
Awesome, thanks! |
