because then you have to worry about overloading a single rail and having unstable machine.

quite often with new video cards, when someone has issues, people recommend switching cables, because a single rail could be overloaded.

if the PSU has a single high capacity rail this is never a problem.

That is a great case and you will get many years of use from it. Everyone else is spot on with the components.

Check out these two PSU's

http://www.buy.com/prod/corsair-tx-7...206178325.html

https://shop.pcpower.com/power-suppl...10-eps12v.html

Both should work fine with that case, and you can cut a hole in the mb tray to route wires from behind. The back panel comes out with some thumb screws.

I guess I've never had a problem like that. Mine has 4 18amp rails and this has been the most stable machine I've owned in a very long time.

grab the Samsung SH-S223 series drive, it is better then that LG, plus it can be modded

18x DVD read speed is great, really speeds up game installation*

*part of the mod

Looks like an excellent system. As Nekro said, go with a Samsung DVD drive.

I can't really speak from experience, but for the extra hundred bucks I think the 4870 is probably worth it. It still drives me nuts that it isn't 1Gb though.

Also, if you have any interest in CUDA or hardware physx support, you can't get those with the 4870... but I don't see either of those being too common.

also about the video card, not sure what warranty Zotac got, but you would be better off with EVGA, BFG or XFX. Lifetime warranty is very important, you never know what might happen.

That's true. In that case, don't bother with the 9800GTX. The rest are all more than $300. Just get a 4870.
