I knew I heard it somewhere. Might as well wait and see if the Q6600 drops anywhere.

Would it be worth it going from a 8800GT to a 4870 or a 280?

I justified getting a gtx260 when I found one for $300. I could have probably kept my 8800gt for a while longer and still been fine. I am really pissed about the intel price drop now that I have been waiting to buy intel for almost a year. ;(

Nice. Ya, I game at 1024x768 so it would be even better.

At that res I can't see why it would make a difference.

Bearclaw if I were you I would keep the gt and upgrade to a nice widescreen. It has been the single most enjoyed thing I have bought as far as gaming goes.

Well, right now I have 2 17" monitors and I love having dualview for work stuff. A nice large monitor would be awesome. I got my dad a 22" widescreen for fathers day and he loves it.

Maybe I'll just buy a new monitor as well and have 2 computers....

I dualview a 22 and a 19. I couldn't live without it either.

Ya. It would be nice to go dualview with 22" widescreen but I would rather have a large widescreen as just one primary than dual. However, I like my current display. I have been debating this for years, lol.
