Kubuntu Hardy, Compiz Fusion, NVIDIA 173.14.09, GeForce 8400M
I was running Compiz and testing a presentation in KPresenter. Had been doing it for a few hours and had no problems. Suddenly, after I clicked on the "End of presentation" slide in KPresenter's full-screen slide-show mode, X crashed. The log showed this: Code:
Backtrace: 0: /usr/bin/X(xf86SigHandler+0x7e) [0x80c780e] 1: [0xb7fb9420] 2: /usr/lib/xorg/modules//libwfb.so(wfbFillRegionSolid+0x10c) [0xb6cbb12c] 3: /usr/lib/xorg/modules//libwfb.so(wfbPaintWindow+0xe9) [0xb6cbb269] 4: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers//nvidia_drv.so [0xb6f30eb4] Fatal server error: Caught signal 11. I see the same error when I try to resume from suspend if compiz is enabled.
Suspend/resume works if I use metacity. Really annoying. Does someone know cause or a workaround? |

It seems that nvidia ships it's own version of the library. I have replaced xorg version with the one provided by nvidia and resume seems to work fine.
