Default NVIDIA acquired....

QPI license.

Great news, yeah that right NVIDIA has acquired QPI license to make chipsets for Nehalem but they will not make chipsets for LGA1366 so they will supply SLi bridge chip for X58 chipset and will focus to make chipsets for LGA1160.

Good news, but no one seems to care right now, everyone's jumped on the ATI bandwagon. Ideally I'd like to run two 55nm GT200's in SLI on X58. Quad crossfire with 4870X2 seems like it's asking for trouble driver wise.

Low quality chipsets for low quality processors, socket 1160 isn't meant for the performance or enthusiast market. X58 will be just like other high end Intel motherboards in terms of quality only it will have SLI support.

I'm sure Microsoft is thrilled...nForce is one of the main producers of BSODs in Vista.

I never had a single BSOD with Vista SP1 and nForce chipset.

I'm also running stable, now, on an nForce chipset. But like I said before, over 67% of 360 owners have never experienced an RROD. Guess what, that still leaves 33% of 360 owners with coffins.

If the nForce chipsets have an overall 10% defect rate, for example, that's a 9 out of 10 chance you'll have no issues. It's also a bad defect rate for a piece of electronics, regardless. So while you haven't had issues, others have. I'm 1 out of 3 right now, and that's being generous, because really, this mobo gave me headaches early on. It will definitely be my last nforce.

I had two BSODs just today, while it was trying to install my DeathAdder drivers. And before that, I had it about 5-6 times, but that was the nvlkdmm thing...
