Default Titan Quest

I reinstalled this the other day and I have to say its a good, fun, hack & slash RPG.

When it was first released 2006 I believe it didn't run to good on the hardware out there and it had quite a few bugs. Two years later its been patched up to version 1.3, almost all bugs are gone and the game is well rounded and balanced, best of all it looks FANTASTIC with to days hardware and all settings cranked up.

Its very much a Diablo clone, but nothing wrong with that.

If you have Steam, Titan Quest and the expansion pack Immortal Throne can be had for $20 (for both), great deal for a very good game.

NiukNiuk has some pics of the game in the screen shot thread.

Saw that gold edition was in a local store for similar price, so I might get that one instead of the steam version.

Hey thanks for the link^^

When I first saw these diablo 3 videos, I instantly thought about reinstalling titan quest
And yeah it runs great now...and its graphics are still awesome.
I wanted to buy the expansion from steam but I read that it only works with the steam version of titan quest (I have a retail one), so I think that I'll buy it in some website like amazon as soon as I can.

Oh and it's sad to know that ironlore, titan quest's makers, had to close a few months ago

the way they did the expansion is very stupid, you have to play the full game from beginning to be able to get into the expansion

*sigh* me too, with all the talk about titan quest, i purchased the bundle from steam (although I didn't already own it). must say, this should hold me over in this genre nicely until d3 arrives

I love the game. Best of the Diablo clones imo. I lost my saves a while back though so lost my 50 something toon. My current highest level guy is in the high 30's.

Is this game solo friendly? I just picked it up from a buddy of mine (unfortunately, not the expansion), is 1.03 the latest patch?

Graphics looked fairly good, but I won't be able to play until the morning.

My plan is to have this installed on my Laptop, to get some gaming done on the road/work

There are no central servers like battle.net, so nobody can ensure your online experience will be...fair. But, I like the single player part. Too bad I didn't start IT from the beginning because I thought I had to finish TQ first, before starting IT. Now I'm level 59 and I have only one artifact, because I don't have normal-epic relics & charms. I had to download someone's else vault to get 1-2 artifacts...

What all did the expansion add? Should i purchase the expansion first and play this game with expac installed first and foremost?

(Thanks in Advance!)
