thanks. I've been reading up on the character skill points and how to spend them and what not.

you can't undo assigned points from like... 2 previous levels can you?

I wish I had the skill point guides like 2 days ago!

Then again, I'm still early in the game so technically, it wouldn't kill me to start over. Advisable? or is my character new enough for it to not matter?

You can revert skills just not mastery trees, theres a sage in the main cities that does it.

ah ok. I'll try to find him. Is he the guy with the lighning bolt over his head?

Anyways, Seems like this game adresses a lot of the little nit picky problems that Diablo II had.

Finally no more tomb of identify or town portal scrolls to lug around, no more corpse retrieval, weapons breaking a the worst possible time or having to walk to regenerate stamina, etc.

come to think of it, there really aren't any short comings when comparing it to D2 that I can think of... besides maybe not having the custom classes but I think that the custom mastery based character build is a refreshing alternative that still has the whole synergy of being able to compound the effectiveness of various skills and that there's a good bit of strategy involved in the skills.

I think the games only flaw was lack of centralized servers like BNET. If it had that kind of MP Setup it would have whooped Diablo bad.

Don't forget it could use the randomly generated maps like Diablo as well.

True. This world is much more immersive and detailed as far as the terrain and what not goes.

I'm tearing the war camp a new butt hole right now on my way to Athens. The more I play, the more addicted I get.

Only problem I'm seeing so far is that I never seem to have enough points in dexterity, strength or intelligence. Like, anytime I see a weapon that's even the slightest bit better than what I'm using, I'm lacking like 6 or 7 points in any given attribute and then by the time I DO meet the prerequisites for that weapon or armor, I will have either already picked up something equal to it or slightly better out in the playing field only to be met by the same frustration at the next town or city's merchant.

And one quick question about the spirit skill Ternion. I see on the conjurer build, it has this skill maxed out but the skill says it empowers a staff. If I never use a staff then do I need this or can it help me even if I don't use a staff? Right now, I'm picking off or damaging guys as much as I can with arrows and the volcanic orb and then using a spear to finish them off at close quarters.

Dont ever put points into Health or Mana... its worthless. You can make up the lack of points in skills and gear.

I haven't done that. seems like it's getting boosted just from leveling up the skills with the + box on each skill page.

I'm just using gear that adds health and health regen. I just peaked over 1000 health and the health regenerates about 3 points per second so I'm having to use fewer potions unless I get surrounded by a mob.

Ternion was overkill at first but then was nerfed. I use it because I'm level 59 oracle and with added skills(ex. 12 for ternion synergy totals, to 14 if +2 to all skills), it virtually hits to almost the max with 3 projectiles instead of one(-20% elemental damage falls to -5%)

However, the thread attached on top of this page shows what and what not to use when playing an oracle(half oracle for you, just for spirit ). Read th whole thread because some things changed after the patches. Also there are some very helpfull posts how to build your character depending on the cold/lighting attack you choose.

Things will get clearer when you move to higher difficulty...and harder

P.S: I finished legendary on vanila TQ. Then moved to IT and the lack of artifacts is slowing me down.
Can anyone share vault with lesser-greater artifacts? I don't care about armor, weapons, etc because I can farm in case I need something badly. Artifacts means I have to go back to lower difficulty but I'm close to hades and want to finish it...
I have many relics/essences but they are all legendary

PPS: I have the formulas.......what I don't have is the ingredients!

well, I've read the articles on character building but my main question I guess is ternion useless without the use of a staff? Or will it work with any weapon?

I think it's only for staffs. Did you try it on another type of weapon? I know it costs to change back the points to the skill but, when you reach my level you will have about 400 milion to spare.
