Problem with AllowSHMPixmaps in KDE 4.1.1
Today, after upgrading to KDE 4.1.1, Kwin effects stopped working. Moreover, it was impossible to change the compositing type from OpenGL to Xrender, i got an error message saying that my xorg.conf was broken.
these are my custom options: Option "PixmapCacheSize" "1000000" Option "AllowSHMPixmaps" "0" Option "OnDemandVBlankInterrupts" "true" Later I noticed that after commenting the line of "AllowSHMPixmaps" Kwin effects were back. Can anyone confirm this? I also noticed that the Kwin effects added in KDE 4.1.1 (3D cube and similar) does not work, they simply show a black screen. Can anyone confirm this? I'm running KDE 4.1.1 from the Factory repository on opensuse 11 x86. Driver version is 177.70 |
