first run with 8800gtx on dx9 tweaked medium/high/very high.

second run with gtx 280 on dx10 very high.

there are still bunch of new maps/levels that i want to play.

First off all I don't see any price war by AMD, I only see big price reduction on the NViDIA 200 series

Talking about stock "tanking lately".
NVDIA..last 12 months 65.7% down
AMD.....last 12 months 35.4% down

Over all the NASDAQ market is down 15.5%

I'm fully aware that AMD has more financial problems but it looks like NVIDIA is also not doing so great.

Anyway I sure wish them both much better days.

Yea. Don't forget about all the dying GPU's from nvidia. I'm not too thrilled since all 3 of my computers have Nvidia GPU's in them, 2 of which are over 3 years old.

All you economic projectionists can speculate all you want. A GTX280 under $450USD is good news...period.

Once the GTX 280 hits $300 each, then I will consider upgrading.

I need to sell my 2 8800GTX's for more then 1 GTX280, as 2 8800GTX's are faster then 1 GTX280 by a long shot.

He may have been referencing the hundreds of issues people are having with their 280s artifacting and soaring to temps over 100C.
