The application of the Click BIOS offers users a more exciting experience. It supports network connectivity and enables user to install any compatible programs. Users can easily use programs such as games, multimedia players, online updates, and other convenient applications.
Wait... what?

This sounds like an operating system built into the motherboard.

Or am I totally misunderstanding what this is about?

Its a replacement for the standard BIOS that we have now.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extensi...ware_Interface

Quote:
The Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI) is a specification that defines a software interface between an operating system and platform firmware. EFI is intended as a significantly improved replacement of the old legacy BIOS firmware interface historically used by all IBM PC-compatible personal computers.[1] The EFI specification was originally developed by Intel, and is now managed by the Unified EFI Forum and is officially known as Unified EFI (UEFI).

Yeah, I know that, but it says you can install programs and games on it and it has network support and multimedia features.

Sounds like a mini operating system to me.

I posted about this in another thread 2 months back. No one even commented on it. ::

It is basically a mini OS. I've seen some with basic Linux OSes and browsers.
