On the second hand MP has always been free on PC, MS tried to turn PC into another cash cow. Since the LIVE on windows only supports about 10% of features it does on xbox 360 that didn't work. But now that they slowly will introduce more and more stuff to it. Sooner or later they will introduce montly cost again.

seriously. i get 12+1 month XBL Gold cards for my birthday every year though, so i dont mind too much.

i havent been online in a while. need to get back into it, but COD4 on PC is sooo addictive

It's actually a decent service as long as it's free. Not worth paying for on PC.

Hey all - new to the forum!

I don't know - I'm not soexcited about this. I thik my excitement is shadowed by annoyance at how long ths took to hapen. Pretty ridiculous.

Also - what is Microsoft doing to make all PC games work with live... me thnkstere are lots of uanswered questions!

My thoughts are pretty much in line with this Greg Vederman post I came across

Nothing wrong with it being free, but JessMyz is trying to say that it's taken too long to happen. And I agree. Not only that but it's taken too long for it to be a standalone product, for it to be PC centric and for it to sell PC games, distribute demos and other things like Xbox Live. MS says it's coming this Fall, it should have been here much earlier.
