Don't know if this has been asked yet but is there going to be a downloadable version available? I don't see one anywhere and just don't like to buy disks anymore. I've done away with having to insert a disk to play any of my games and don't want to start back up now. Doesn't look like Steam's going to have it being the game is supposed to be released in a couple of weeks and I would think Steam would have had some info on it by now. Didn't see anything on Direct2Drive either.

Sometimes games pop up on Steam out of nowhere with no warning on release day... I have bought a game at retail because Steam didn't have it, only to get home and see the game on the Steam site as a new release.

That said, this is a Raven Software game, and they seem to restrict their games from being on Steam... see Heretic 2 and Quake 4, the only games in their respective series without Steam editions.

Doesn't say much about their "Coming Soon" section does it?

Just strange to me that this close to release and no info anywhere pertaining to a downloadable version, even on the game website itself. Seems a bad move to come out with a game with no download version. I would think they would want to make as much money as they could, and leaving out the download market doesn't sound too smart. I'm not particularly keen anymore of buying a game disk and then having to go searching for a no CD you know what to play the game without the disk. Having to have a disk in drive to play a game was one of the dumbest ideas that was ever made as far as I'm concerned (other than having to cycle through umpteen ads to play each time). Downloads was the solution for me and pretty much the only way I'll buy a game now (unless it came out on disk and no disk in drive was required to play).

Well it takes a lot less time to download a no-CD patch than it does the entire game, but yes, I know the benefits of download versions.

So far though, Raven does not seem to agree (though you would think their publisher would force the issue).

Was Prototype in the coming soon section? It's Activision as well.

Surprisingly cool looking video from the 360 version: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/ex...fenstein/53961

Game looks better there than I thought it would.

Yah... Single player looks good, it is multiplayer that looks bad. The same horrible sound effects from Quake Wars are still in SP though.
