reinstall the software

go to network config and uninstall it from there then uninstall the software.

it is all symantec techsite which you would have access to if you bought the software

2. Check the "driver details" button in the drivers tab of the driver properties (lol). find up those files and delete them.

1. check your C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers and see if there are any symantec/norton device driver files in there, but BE CAREFUL! Delete the wrong file and you'll be using the recovery console in no time

2. Check your startup files and registry keys.

3. Start >> Control Panel >> Administrative tools >> Services... Any symantec / norton services in there? If so, look at the "service name" and goto the CLI and use the following command...

sc delete nortonBloatSvc
Another Example:
sc delete nortonDontDetectMalwareSvc
Yet Another Example:
sc delete nortonMakeSystemSlowBoosterSvc
Just for Good Measure:
sc delete nortonCauseRndBsodSvc
4. Check your local area connection / PPPoE connection / Wireless network connection and uninstall anything norton/symantec in the list.

5. Once those are done, you should be able to remove the device in safe mode.
