Sadly, it won't happen.

I think the game is going to be fun. I liked Oblivion enough to buy it on the PC and PS3.

Yeah I know that, I was just wondering if they had talked about the improvements they've made to the engine since the previous versions are far from perfect.

Has anyone seen or read ANY PC preview? I want to know how badly consolized this game is gonna be. I don't want to see another craptastic large inventory menu with only 7 items showing before you have to scroll down.

i did, there was a preview in Polish CD Action magazine. they were invited by Bethesda to see both versions of the game.

main differences were textures and view distance. according to them PC version was running on medium settings.

1) textures between 360 and medium PC where the same, but more constant on PC. 360 had to fetch textures more often, textures in the distance where of lower resolution.

2) view distance was farther in PC

AA and AF was turned off in Bethesda demo that CD Action played.

CD Action staff are big Fallout fans, they said that game it self wasn't bad, but is not a fallout game.

I'm playing through Fallout 2 right now and having a blast. Its a little buggy, but its a great game.

I beat the first one a year or two ago and then got my ass handed to me when I tried to start the second one with a non-offensive character. This time I went with offensive skills and its much more balanced.

I really do not expect Fallout 3 to resemble these games even the slightest bit, but... eh... if the reviews are good enough and the game isn't a lame console port I may pick it up.

Well, I never beat it.

The game engine just drives me nuts. The game is choppy (especially mouse movement in first person), everything stutters as you walk around the wilderness, and it needs a dozen mods to look and feel like a PC game.

If Fallout 3 doesn't suffer from those problems and they actually make the skill\leveling system work properly (unlike Oblivion) then Bethesda may get my money again.
