Same problem here with 2x AMD Opteron 2354 on Tyan Thunder n6650W (S2915-E) and 8800GT. Wolfenstein Enemy Territory becomes unplayable after a while with a PAT-enabled 2.6.26.5 or 2.6.26.6 kernel, nvidia-drivers-173.14.12 and xorg-server-1.5.1 (Gentoo x86_64)...
