Same here. After a minute or 2, I'm down to about 5fps! Will try the new 177.83 drivers this evening though and see if anything improves.

I tried the deatmatch map and twister, didn't get to lighthouse, planning to mess with it more this weekend.

Yes, this isn't a huge step forward in the series, and the menus are annoying, but the core gameplay is still fun, just nothing excitig or new. But it isn't the complete rubbish everyone wants to make it out to be. And if they patch in the few serious oversights they made, it's a relevant game. And at the price it has fallen too, it's worth it for a few cheap thrills. Too each their own I guess, but I think the whole UT3 backlash has more to do with hating on Epic for releasing GoW and UT3 on console first than a genuine issue with UT3 itself. For the record, I'm annoyed with Epic for some of their recent conduct toward PC gamers as well, but I don't discount years of good games and quality engines, or build up an unfounded level of hate toward a sequel over it, just note it for the record.
